I recently tested this super cute Jogger Skort Pattern and I need 5 more for the Spring and Summer!
This is the Patterns for Pirates, Playdate Skort Pattern. The fit is perfect and it has athletic style shorts sewn into the waistband. The Waistband is Elasticated (with a casing) and there are markings to add button holes or grommets for a drawstring.

Sewing the Skort
The pattern is designed for stable knit fabrics like ponte, french terry, and similar. I used a thicker ribbed knit that was a bit harder to sew, but has great drape (I’ll include a link to a video below so you can see what I mean).
You can see the little side pocket of the shorts in the picture below. I used the shorter under shorts and just put the pocket on one side, but you can add it to both.
The next picture shows the slat pockets and perhaps you can also see the drawstring. I added grommets for mine.

The Skort wasn’t too difficult to sew, the only hard part for me was figuring out which way to put the shorts against the waistband, but I believe the instructions have all been ironed out. Remember, I tested this skirt pattern, so the instructions weren’t finished yet.
